Joanna Lamb, Deputy Director
Joanna has worked for the Trust since February 2005 and is currently Deputy Director. Her role includes the coordination of Trust events and visits, and assisting the Director in all areas of the Trust's work.
Before joining the Trust, Joanna worked for an MEP in the European Parliament in Brussels where she primarily followed the work of the Human Rights Sub-Committee. She has also carried out research for the Liberal Democrat Environment Spokesman in Westminster.
Joanna is a Russian speaker and lived in Moscow for two years, studying at the Russian State Humanities University and working for Deloitte. She also volunteered with the human rights NGO, the 'Russian Justice Initiative'. Joanna studied Russian and Politics at the University of Leeds, and completed a master's degree in International Relations in 2004 at the University of Bristol.
As a member of the Liberal Democrat Party, Joanna is active in local politics and stood as a candidate in the local elections in May 2006.
