The John Smith Memorial Trust and the Fellowship Programme owe a debt of gratitude to Baroness Smith of Gilmorehill, who gives a great deal of her time and devotes enormous interest and attention to the work of the Trust. Her lifelong love of Russia and the people of the former Soviet Union has been instrumental in shaping the Fellowship Programme, and continues to inspire its development.
