March 2011 - The John Smith Memorial Trust is delighted to announce that Elvira Aleinichenko, Grigory Fandeev, Ruslan Kantemirov, Alexander Konkov and Musa Magomadov have been awarded a place on the 2011 John Smith Fellowship Programme. They will travel to the UK in June as 2011 John Smith Fellows.

During the end of September 2008, the Trust Chairman Lord Falconer, Baroness Smith, Trust Director Brian Brivati and Deputy Director Natalia Westcombe travelled to Russia in order to promote the 2009 Fellowship Programme and to meet with a large group of alumni to deepen the Fellowship network via the creation of a Russian alumni organisation.
