Vladimir Kuznetsov

Vladimir is an environmentalist and plays an active role in public life.
He is Executive Director of the Center for Russian Environmental Policy – a professional non-governmental environmental organization. The Center's mission is to provide expert support to the environmental movement, and to assist to state bodies in resolving key environmental problems in Russia.
He is an Official Representative of the Blacksmith Institute, an American Foundation that tackles pollution problems in developing and transition countries. It supports practical programmes to remedy or stabilise sites that are hazardous to human health. Vladimir’s responsibilities include: searching for relevant sites for projects; liaising with NGOs, local authorities and state agencies; and, implementing and supervising projects.
In addition, Vladimir is a Member of the Bureau for the "Yabloko" political party
Vladimir is Executive Secretary of the Russian National Committee for the World Conservation Union (IUCN) – the largest environmental organization in the world. The Russian National Committee for IUCN enables Russian environmental NGOs to influence the internal and world conservation policy.
