Elvira Aleinichenko

Elvira is Program Director of the Russian Donors’ Forum (RDF), a non-profit partnership of grant making organizations. The mission of the RDF is to support the development of a democratic civil society in Russia via enhancing the effectiveness of grant making.
The RDF pursues this mission through several kinds of activities:
• organizing the exchange of information between grantmakers and facilitating networks among them;
• providing useful and timely information relating to the operating environment for grant making;
• promoting minimum standards in the practice of grant making;
• making other services available for the organizational development of member institutions.
Elvira specifically manages the Endowments Program and the Top Corporate Philanthropist Award. She wants to use her time in the UK to learn more about current practices in philanthropy in the UK, the system of endowments and how they operate, and the mechanism that supports the Gift Aid system.
She is a Board Member of the Ulyanovsk local youth social movement "Association of Studying Youth". She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Manchester.
