Irina currently works for the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) as the Human Rights and Good Governance Programme Coordinator.
The OSGF, founded in 1994 by George Soros, is an independent non governmental organisation promoting democratic values. It administers grants to independent, non-commercial organisations and individuals, and is committed to programmes that respond to political and economic change and contribute to Georgia’s long term development.
As a Human Rights and Good Governance Programme Coordinator Irina coordinates the Budget Transparency stream within the programme and her work is mainly concentrated on anti-corruption and watch-dog projects. Her work includes research, analysis, identifying and cooperating with relevant stakeholders.
At the same time, Irina coordinates the NGO coalition “Transparent Foreign Aid to Georgia”. The aim of the coalition is to promote transparency and efficiency of foreign financial aid pledged to Georgia by donor countries and organizations.
