John Smith Fellow takes part in Youth G8 Summit
The John Smith Memorial Trust is pleased to announce that Maxim Chereshnev, a 2007 John Smith Fellow from Russia, was recently selected to take part in the Youth G8 Summit as a Finance Expert.
The Summit, which took place in Italy, started during the week of 16th March 2009. Maxim travelled to Milan where he and the seven other finance experts were tasked with formulating a strategy of reform of the world financial structure and discussing ways to minimize the negative impact of the current financial situation. The title of their agenda was 'Financial Inclusion Vs Financial Crisis'.

Maxim is from the Novosibirsk region of Russia where he is a Member of Council for Youth Policy in the Upper Chamber of Russian Parliament; Member of the Governor’s Committee on Youth policy; and Head of the NGO Fund of Youth Policy in the Novosibirsk region.
