River Room Reception Held to Thank Trust Supporters
On Wednesday 15th March sponsors and supporters of the John Smith Memorial Trust gathered at a reception in the magnificent River Room of the Lord Chancellor's residence in the House of Lords.

Minister of State Harriet Harman MP spoke on behalf of the Department for Constitutional Affairs, expressing their continuing support for our Fellowship Programme. The Minister also spoke of her positive experiences hosting our Fellows whilst in the UK.

The Trust is hugely grateful to Moscow Narodny Bank for their generous sponsorship of the event. Addressing the guests, Chief Operating Officer Stephen Clarke encouraged potential sponsors to support our Fellowship Programme and growing network of Alumni across the Former Soviet Union.

The reception was also attended by a great number of our key supporters, including Scottish & Newcastle plc, BP, KPMG and Embassies of our Fellowship countries. Several of our John Smith Alumni who are currently studying in the UK were able to join us for a memorable evening.
