Ervin currently serves as the Chairman of the budget, finance and tariffs commission of Krasnoobsk City Council. He is an entrepreneur in the e-commerce space and a consultant on strategy and operations for businesses and state agencies. Previously, he worked as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and an auditor at KPMG.
Ervin graduated cum laude from Novosibirsk State University in 2009 with a BSc in Mathematics.
His action plan is to develop best practice for promoting direct democracy, more effective public spending and increased transparency. He wants to do this through public participation in local budgeting process, public-private funding of infrastructure projects and promotion of local SMEs and social entrepreneurship. His goal is to popularise participatory budgeting practice by local authorities from city to regional to federal level and eventually see country-wide adoption.
