Alexander is Head of International Peer-Review at the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation. The Analytical Center is a think-tank established by the Russian government to provide analysis and expertise on social and economic issues. The Center is responsible for monitoring the impact and measuring the performance of government projects and programmes in Russia, including the President’s modernisation projects.
Alexander wants to use his time during the Fellowship Programme to explore current methods of lobbying and to find out more about how public support for policy areas is mobilised in the UK. His aim is to create a popular movement for corrupt-free behaviour in Russia.
He was previously Senior Consultant at BDO Unicon Consulting and Consultant to the Center for Fiscal Policy. In 2004-2009 he was an Assistant to a member of the Council of Federation.
From 2010 he has been the project laureate for the Cadre Reserve Professional Team of the Country for the United Russia Party. In 2010 he was a participant of the Hansard Research Scholar Programme in the United Kingdom.
